Good to know: 6 things that make an Orlando trip easier

  1. Orlando is a car city: hire a car (parking at the parks costs 30 USD) or use the Disney/Universal buses. You need a car for Kennedy.
  2. January and February are the quietest and coolest months (20°C). December brings Christmas events and crowds; spring break is in March.
  3. Park tickets are dated and bought online. Lightning Lane/Express Pass is worth it on busy days, and mobile ordering skips the queue.
  4. Meals in the parks cost 15-25 USD. Book restaurants 60 days ahead, and refill your water bottle (free).
  5. Tip 18-20%. Outside the parks, Mills 50 and Winter Park are local and cheap.
  6. For 7 days, plan 4 Disney parks plus 2-3 Universal parks. If there is a launch at Kennedy, plan around that day.

Spending: ≈ $1,950 per person for 7 days

  • Food$450
  • Entry and tours$1,050
