  2. Book timed online tickets for the Uffizi, the Accademia and the dome weeks ahead. Museums are free on the first Sunday of the month (crowded). The Firenze Card costs 85 EUR for 72 hours.
  3. Summer brings 33-36°C heat and crowds. Visit museums at 08:15, rest at midday for the siesta, and go to Piazzale Michelangelo at 19:30. In August, some places close for Ferragosto.
  4. Lampredotto is 5 EUR, schiacciata 8 EUR, a trattoria meal 20-30 EUR and bistecca 50-60 EUR/kg. Coperto (cover charge) is 2-3 EUR and a coffee standing at the bar 1.30 EUR.
