  1. Ferries run from Kabataş and Bostancı (Istanbulkart accepted): every 30 minutes in summer, hourly in winter; the last ferry leaves around 20:00.
  2. There are no cars on the island: use an electric minibus, a bike or your feet. The Aya Yorgi climb takes 40 minutes; an electric vehicle costs 100 TL.
  3. Summer weekend ferries are very crowded, so go on a weekday. Beaches cost 500 TL, sun lounger included.
  4. Try hot lokma, island ice cream and fish with meze; the restaurants on Gülistan Avenue don't need reservations.
  5. There are few ATMs on the island, so bring cash.
  6. The ferry between the islands takes 15 minutes.
